Michelle Holloway says:

Another great video. You are saving me money! I have always had extra sensitive skin. I have used philosophy microderm abrasion almost daily in the shower on my face in the morning. It’s very gentle. I will stop using as often. I never could justify the $200 circulating brush when a bathcloth works just as well. I wash my make up off at night with a gentle cleanser that comes in my beauty box subscriptions. I have been very fortunate to have great skin! Thanks for all you do!

Hi, dr Dray. Can exfoliation help a face that looks like an orange peel?

Magda Lena says:

Dr Dray, what about enzymatic peels? I’ve been using it for years!

Simmy Bucur says:

Thank you for this great video. I have milia prone , dry, mature skin with few patches of melasma and discolouration. I find it very difficult to navigate through so much information available, so I am grateful for you narrowing it down so intelligently . I hope one day I will figure out a routine that would work for myself. For now I am struggling with the overpeeling from Retin A and could not find a moisturizer that won’t bring milia back…

Evelyn Monserrat says:

Hi Dr. Dray PLEASE can you talk about menopausal skin care regiments. I’m so happy i found you with so much info. On skin care products. Thanks much.

Tina Bella says:

Hello Dr. Gray, where were you when I was a teenager? I am binge watching your videos! They are so informative and educational. Thanks! I would add that using Foreo Luna for a few years now has improved my skin texture in conjunction of my skincare routine. When I asked my bf to try it the first time his verdict was that his face felt very clean. Haven’t tried spinbrush except for my teeth lol. I have oily skin but hardly have any pimples except when I tried the wrong products where it “purched”. I know. Marketing lingo. I felt stupid to not listen to my skin and let my face broke out. Learnt my lesson. Pixi Glow Toner helped clear the pimple marks in 30 days so I will use it when needed. So that is my experience. I am trying to clear pimple marks in my back. Watched your videos on bacne and got the benzoyl peroxide 10%. Do you think I can also use Stridex alcohol free 2% salicylic acid wipe and Pixi Glow Toner to get a clear back?

Angela Chang says:

Hi Dr Dray, i really hope you see this! I have been trying to remove acanthosis nigrans from the back of my neck but not having success. Would an exfoliant be useful for this? Is there anything that can help me? Please and thank you 🙂

Nicole Carignan says:

Love this video ! Would exfoliating be acceptable for the skin on the neck and body for scars and hyper pigmentation ? Thank you !

Sheryl McNeill says:

Is there any issue with using Apple cider vinegar as an exfoliant? I’ve seen lots of recipes but very little info from doctors.

I use Cerave SA renewing lotion for my face. Honestly, it’s been 1.5 months but I still see clogged pores and I now get white heads and a couple of cysts— what’s happening?

Ricky Hogan says:

Can I use a benzoyl peroxide treatment during the day and still use my Retin-A at night without the two medications interfering with each other? Thank you again for the great videos and tips. I always find them very helpful!

jacob kablan says:

is azeliac acid an exfoliant

Mariah Valentine says:

Hey Dr. Dray, I hope you’re well! Thank you for your video on exfoliation and for answering my question about exfoliation on your 2017 skincare favorites video 🙂 I hate to keep beating a dead horse but I feel like I’m still conflicted on the question of whether salicylic acid can function as an exfoliant and help with acne in cleanser form. I asked someone from Paula’s Choice to comment on this after watching your video and he told me “It’s literally not possible chemically for a BHA or AHA cleanser to function as an exfoliant and a cleaning formula. Surfactants lose their emulsifying and stability below a pH of 5.0. Irritation and acids are about formulation and and pH. Combining these (AHAs and BHA) with anti-irritants and a not too low pH make all the difference in the world. The acne prevention benefits of salicylic acid are due to its function as an exfoliant. Without that, if the pH is too high as it is in a cleanser, there isn’t a real benefit to having BHA in a cleansing formula.” Is there any truth to what he’s saying? Thanks again!

Claudia MM says:

I’ve used a few from Paula’s choice and like them. They haven’t irritated my skin I think it’s be because they include so many other good ingredients. I’m careful to wear sunscreen and stay away from sun but I exfoliation definitely makes my skin look more healthy and smooth.

Analia E says:

Thanks Dr. Grey. I’m in Canada and My derm recommended Cutibase Moisturizing Cream. It’s a ceramide complex, fragrance free, hypoallergenic and non- comedogenic. I love it! Do you know it by any chance? If so, what’s your opinion? I don’t know if it’s available in the US.

Carol says:

Always so information. Thank you so much.

cwm53 says:

Great video. After taking your advice about exfoliating from previous videos, my skin is looking and behaving much better. I am no longer using my Clarisonic, a washcloth or an exfoliating toner. As of now I use the Zapzit and Paula’s Choice Retinol Serum. Do you ever use the Civant Microdermabrasion Cloth on your face or do you use it solely on your body? Thank you!

Lauren B says:

Enjoyed this very important skin care knowledge very much, listened a few times & will go back to this for a refresher on taking care of my skin regarding exfoliating,Thank you so very much Dr. Dray.

katealexandra says:

Thank you so much! This video was so helpful. I’m currently experiencing such dry, red and sore skin, I think because of the very cold weather here in the UK contrasted with central heating but I also think I am overexfoliating. This video has given me loads of new info, thank you again. I have subscribed and will be catching up on your other videos too.
