My name is Shelly and I’m a 43-year-old web geek that jumped off the deep end into the makeup and beauty world. I’ve got dry skin, fine lines starting to form, and some sun spots that I desperately wish to get rid of or cover up! Cameo appearances by my rescue cats Daffy, Polly, Ziva, and Merlin.

I purchased all products used in this video. All opinions are honest and my own. Some links are affiliate links and may earn me points or discounts at no cost to you. I appreciate your support of my channel!

Jennifer Childers says:

I have pretty dry skin year-round and love the Clinique 72-hour Moisture Surge hydrator. Ahhhhh… So good!

Nancy Wright says:

My top moisturizers are from Aldi! That’s right! ALDI! The grocery store! Both the night formula and the day formula are fabulous and VERY AFFORDABLE! Give them a look. (BTW, they’re very highly rated by customer reviews.)

Stephanie S says:

Love your eye look! Thanks for the skincare tips.

Lisa Hagans says:

I was just asking myself about hydrating products containing alcohol. Thank you so much for addressing this concern! #mindreader

Jen Richman says:

Great video!! I started with Aveeno too! I would love to see Top 5 CC creams or under eye gel/cream I’m in the market for both!

Lynn Franco says:

drunk elephants moisturizer, what do you use with to increase moisturizing?

Ross H says:

Hello, Shelly, always thorough with your reviews. Your skin looks flawless!
I have very sensitive skin and my skin can be dry during the winter. I have been using the new, Clinique-Different Moisturizing jelly, It’s for all skin types. It works very well during the Summer.
Does the It cosmetics- secret sauce have a smell?

Melissa Bennett says:

Thanks Shelly. Love all of your videos!!

I use the Belif moisturizers (I have both versions) in the summer. In the winter I use Cosrx Honey Ceramide Full Moisture cream, and at night I’ll add a facial oil into it. I have 51 yr old dry skin. But I also have a 6-8 step routine in the morning and an 8-10 step routine at night (some products I don’t use every single day).

Ginger Badjie says:

Check out Mad Hippie day moisturiser. CF, cean inci list and does the job for under £20, cheaper for you guys in the US. Keep the top 5 coming, luving it 😉 xoxo

Jovanna God is Gracious- JF says:

Thank you for the video. I love your entire look. Hair makeup blouse look beautiful.

Susan in So Cal says:

I’m a CereVe (night) girl for my daytime moisturizer. Super dry skin here too.

Nora Smith says:

Great video as usual. For me, it’s CeraVe moisturizing cream during the winter. The past year or so, I’ve been mixing things up a bit during the summer, trying different European brands.

hammypie says:

Oh wow I LOVE that DE dispenser!! Is it refillable?

will put the aveeno on my list bc it’s affordable and I do have bothersome hyperpig I really want to get rid of! What product have you found that’s the strongest so far for hyperpig?

Debi Smith says:

Just started using Dermasil daytime moisturizer for face……liking it so far…I have extremely dry skin….and I’m 63!!

Lori Roemer says:

“Paws” drink!

Kendy Jane Beauty says:

Thanks for the great moisterizer options. I have such dry skin I tried the Tatcha silk cream about a year ago and it’s hard to find one I like as much. The Pericone MD hyaluronic intensive moisturizer I have been using a little over a month really is nice. But it’s not even an ounce in the jar so comparing apples to apples it’s as expensive as the Tatcha. When my skin is more normal I use the Olay Whips but not my favorite when my skin is really dry.

Kris R says:

I love the Neutrogena Hydroboost gel cream, but it isn’t enough now that our weather is colder (Northern MN here). So I have started adding the Cerave PM twice daily. The Cerave Moisturizing cream (white/blue tub) is wonderful mid winter for me also, but only at night as it wouldn’t do well under makeup. I agree with you in regard to products that have endless ingredients. Less is best, especially when it comes to fragrance.

Momicato 8skonks says:

Nice video! Btw, you’re rocking that blouse, it’s so cute.

Amanda K says:

I use Neutrogena age repair in a jar. I will switch to something new when I run out.

Gina Ahearn says:

Love it

J P says:

Great video as usual, Shelly. I use Derma-E Sensitive Skin Moisturizing Cream on my neck/face and Derma-E Sensitive Skin Oil-Free Moisturizer on my oily T zone.

Sherry G says:

I have a fragrance allergy and seem to have highly reactive skin. I used the old formula of CeraVe PM with no problems. My teenage daughter, who struggles with acne, also liked it. After L’Oréal bought CeraVe, the formula was changed to lightweight. Same ingredients, but added sodium hydroxide, which isn’t supposed to be irritating. Well, the new formula broke us both out. Thanks L’Oréal, lol. If you read the community reviews at Beautypedia, there are some people posting about problems with the new formula. But it seems most people don’t have a problem with it. It’s too bad, because I liked the lighter formula. Anyway, I switched to Cetaphil Redness Relieving Night Moisturizer, which also has ceramides and niacinimide. I also like Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin. I was trying to go CF, but with my fragrance allergy and limited budget I had to give it up unfortunately. But I’d love to try DE someday. Enjoyed the reviews!
